Forgotten Stories

Me and the boys spent the weekend visiting family and pounding the pavement at the Blueberry Festival in Poplarville.  During our very last stop Sunday afternoon my dad told a story about Ethan that I had all but forgotten ( seriously no brain power left lately at all)  So I thought I would share it here before I totally forgot it all over again.

Ethan is a lover of the McDonalds happy meal.  He usually gets to eat there about once every two weeks or so; in other words he thinks this is the best treat in the world.  While you order he repeats everything in the backseat just to make sure that you don't leave anything out.  At the time of this story he was just over three years old and we had told him that he was going to have a little brother or a little sister at Christmas.  He was over the moon.

This is the story that resulted of our trip to Mickey D's.
I pulled up to the drive through and ordered a happy meal with chicken nuggets, fries and a white milk for a boy.  For some reason Ethan suddenly got seriously pumped up. I pulled forward to the first window and paid for the meal.  Ethan said wait were is my food? I told him the lady at the other window would give it to us; then I pulled forward and she did. Milk first, then the little red and yellow cardboard happy meal box.  I took my foot off the brake and started to drive away and Ethan began screaming from the top of his lungs. NO, NO, NO we can't leave yet where is my toy? I try to calm down his hysterics by giving him the toy and he just starts crying.  I said Ethan what's wrong? And he says they were supposed to give me a boy.... I say, what? A boy? No its a boys toy.  He seriously though we were picking up his little brother from the McDonald's drive thru.  If only it were that easy....we all got a good laugh out of that one.
